I love decor. I love decorating my home. When we remodeled our living room I informed my husband that I wanted a shelf that spanned the whole 12+ foot blank wall. I like to change my decor often. So to avoid an overabundance of nail holes in the wall my solution was a shelf. I can prop pictures, frames, and all sorts of decor objects on a shelf and change them out whenever I please!
Some of my favorite things to hunt for at flea markets, garage sales and thrift stores are picture frames, unique old windows, chairs, linens, and cool glassware.
I also love to decorate for other people. I have been priviledged to decorate some of my friends homes for Christmas the past couple of years. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and hope I get the opportunity again
I would venture to say that my love of decorating just might surpass my love of sewing and designing. But I suppose the designing part goes for both sewing and decor. You use design techniques for both things!
I will most likely have decor posts frequently. Hopefully my decor will always be ‘fine’ just as I strive to do a ‘fine’ job sewing.
