Birthday Party

My oldest daughter was our only daughter for 4 and a half years before her little sister came along. When I had birthday parties for her I went all out – planning weeks and sometimes a couple months in advance. I loved getting all the details in place and creating a fun party. Daughter number 2 had a few parties with all the details and daughter number 3 had a couple – well, maybe one! Somehow my stamina for getting all those fun details together waned as I got busier and had more kids to take care of.

This past weekend I was privileged to help out a friend who was putting together a fun, detailed birthday party for her little 1 year old. My friend had all the details and crafty fun made, the decor items gathered, and she just wanted a bit of help getting it all set up. I was delighted to help out – and I took my camera so I could share!!

Belle Hess Photography

Birthday Time!

14 years ago, Miss Emma Kate entered the world and made us a family instead of just a couple. She missed Valentine’s by about 2 and 1/2 hours, which was just fine with me. Not because I was so enamored with being in labor but because my Mother’s birthday is the 15th. And really, after spending over 24 hours in labor what’s a couple more? HA. But I was so happy to be able to call my Mom and ask her if she wanted to come see her birthday present

Home Tour

Wedding Photos
