{About}

Hi!  You have reached the blog of Jill Flory, the ‘One Who Sews’.  And designs and dreams and decorates.   I have been sewing almost all my life, which has given me the practice and knowledge it takes to do a really ‘fine’ job.  I delight in designing the items I create.  I love to get to know a client by digging through their blog and asking them questions about what they like or don’t like and then designing something just for them.  When it involves wonderful fabrics like fine linen and cotton and especially vintage fabrics I am truly in my element!  Drop cloths are another medium that is a favorite.

Below is a list of what I am, what I want to be, and what I am trying to be!

  2. Sure am envious of your ability to make slip covers. If anyone has suggestions on how or where to get instructions to learn to slip cover a chair and a sofa I would be most grateful!! I tried it once on my own and ended up in tears…. literally!! ;)

  3. Hi, I hopped on over from Thistlewood Farm and discovered your blog. Totally love the scarf that you did. I am adding you to my list of blogs that I read. Have a great day!

    Jill, my name is Lori Martin and I found out about you through the blog My Sweet Savannah, she just did a post and showed these beautiful pillows you made for her sofa. The cream ones with the small pleat and brown trim and monogram are to die for and was wondering if you do custom work I’d love some pillows like these. Thanks Lori
