The Summer Market is almost here! This coming Friday evening and Saturday. Avon Lake, Ohio – 4-9 on Friday and 9-5 on Saturday. This is their 9th year hosting this event. This is my first year going. And I’m going as a vendor. I am so excited. If you browse their facebook page you will see all the great vendors they are featuring who will be there. If you are within driving distance I really think this one would be worth your time If nothing else just come to say hi to me! Admission is FREE! Woo-Hoo!
I thought I’d share a bit of what I’ve been creating. All the pics are from my iPhone. I haven’t had the time (or the space) to stage any cool ‘after’ shots of my creations. But this will give you a good idea of what I’m taking this weekend.
This suitcase just got detailed yesterday. I love the Union Jack design.
This table is painted with MMSMP in Eulelie’s Sky with a bit of Kitchen Scale mixed in. Maps are modpodged on.
pillows made out of a vintage chenille spread.
Another shot of the pile.
And today the merchandising begins. I really dislike the pricing. I wish I could hire someone to come tag it all. And pack it all up the best way for hauling. The loading is supposed to happen tomorrow.
I am still working on a few things too. Some pennant banners, I have a dress or top I’d like to get made for myself (my closet is in sad shape these days) and I still have a few odds and ends to get finished. And more pillows if I can find the time and energy to get them made.
The tent was put up tonight to make sure I knew how to work it (it arrived on my doorstep a couple days ago and I ignored it for awhile as I just didn’t have time for it)
My ‘square’ arrived and I will hopefully be able to make it work to take credit cards at the event. I got it to work for me here but it was a bit finicky.
I’m tired. Exhausted. And I have a Dr. appointment at 8 this morning. Something is wrong with the skin on my hands. I’ve been dealing with it off and on for over a year and I cannot figure out what it is or find anything that helps it or makes it better. It runs its course (very painfully) and then is better for awhile and then flairs back up. So it’s time to find out what it is while it is in the ‘bad’ state and the Dr. can see what I’m talking about.
