God is Faithful. So very faithful. Always. In every situation. Even when we feel like He has forsaken us, He is still there. Loving us, carrying us, nurturing us.
Earlier this week I wrote this post. We made it through school this week. By Friday my middle girl had put on an attitude of grumpiness that just wouldn’t quit. There was no reasoning with her. No punishment works with her when she gets this way. I gave her chores she had to do. She got spanked for being extremely disrespectful. She got her new Lego set put back in the box and put away. I ended up in tears. And as I locked myself in the bathroom to cry to God to please help me know what to do with this child, He answered through my teenager, who had seen my distress and tears and very kindly and wonderfully managed to talk some sense into the grumpy, unreasonable middle girl.
Earlier this week, our small group Bible study met in a bit different setting than usual. One of the men who has attended some has been diagnosed with cancer. Stage 4, incurable. He was more of an encouragement to me that evening than I felt I was to him. We prayed over him and the power of God in the room was such a force you could feel it. God is Faithful.
Last week my brother was in a semi accident. He was turning left in the semi he was driving. The semi behind him failed to stop and tried to pass in a no-passing zone just as my brother went to turn. He hit right behind my brother’s door – like RIGHT behind – praise God it was not any farther forward. My brother walked away, with no more than some soreness from the impact. God is Faithful. And had the outcome been different God is still Faithful. He will always be here, carrying us through whatever he calls us to go through. I am so thankful my brother got to see another day, and praise God for protecting him.
I was stressing this weekend about all I have to accomplish before The Springfield Flea. My wonderful husband helped me with cleaning house, mopping floors and encouraged me that I would ‘knock it all out’. He looked at the projects I started working on and told me it was looking good. God is so Faithful. He uses the people in our lives to bless us and encourage us and show us His Faithfulness. Praise His Name.
Have a blessed Sunday.
