This is a post from the archives! I made these valentines last year and thought it would be fun to post about them again. The photos are from before I had my ‘real’ camera, seems like I’ve had my camera forever but it hasn’t been a year quite yet!
Stamps. A must when card-making:) I prefer Cavallini.
A trug full of supplies and tools. Scissors, punches, twine, ribbon, tape, tickets, glue…
Cut some card stock into card size pieces. No measuring or perfectness here, just wing it.
Hot glue gun. Another must. This white metal stool works just grand to set my hot glue gun on. I’ve managed to get hot glue on my table before and it doesn’t come off so well 
Make some arrows out of skewers and Japanese Washi tape.
Follow the instructions HERE to make the arrows.
We made several small arrows by cutting the skewers into 2, 3 or 4 pieces.
We also used toothpicks. This sized them for gluing to cards.
I love texture. Layer it up!
I just used whatever I had on hand at the time.
Old maps are a favorite crafting item of mine. There is no end to the crafting you can do with fun old maps.
I haven’t decided yet if I will find time to make more Valentines this year or not. I am not doing a very good job of getting projects marked off my list so far this year. Looking at these old photos makes me want to make some new ones though!
Do you make Valentines every year? I’m thinking I might have to see what cute kids valentines are out there this year – you can detail them up and make them look like they never saw the inside of a big box store

These are the cutest Valentines I have ever seen. I have zero Vday decs around here and was thinking I better whip some up! I love all the odds and ends, and I agree, Maps are by far my most favorite crafting item. Not that I am too crafty, but when I get the urge, I just love them. Thanks for sharing!

I did some Valentine’s decor last year, I might just share it again this year – not sure I’m going to get it out this year! It’s not much really just some cute vintagey paper stuff.
I love Valentine’s Day, but we don’t always get that much done for it. I’ve made Valentine’s with the kiddos some years.

. I do like to make my own Valentine’s. It reminds me of being a kid, preparing my Valentine’s for my classmates. Of course, yours are WAY more beautiful than any I have ever made

Jill, we finished going through cards, letters, etc at Grandmas today and found lots of old valentines. Some that you sent to her when you were a little girl. Come see them sometime. Might give you ideas if you need any.
