Craft Market

Craft Market

It arrived.

It happened.

It went.

It was awesome!

This was my dining room on Friday morning.  It was starting to really drive me nuts!  I would walk around and try to reorganize this and reshuffle that and make absolutely no difference in the pile and chaos!!

This laundry cart almost got spirited away to my laundry room instead of packed in to be used for my cash/wrap table.  And yes it was and still is for sale!  Authentic vintage cart with a new liner made from a drop cloth and detailed – oh the detailing is so wonderful!  A blog post on laundry carts will be coming later.

Shot from the other side of my dining room.

Friday night right after set-up and right before my hubby insisted I leave!  I tend to detail things to death if someone doesn’t stop me.

Saturday morning! See the light streaming in the window?!

I had some help from a couple great friends with the pins, necklaces and pictures.  Also the earings and rings in the lower right of the pic.  My camera straps are in the left side of the ‘Flow Blue’ Box.

My In Real Life friends who came the over-an-hour drive to see me and my set-up and shop the whole Market!  You guys made an already great day over-the-top awesome!

Me and my wonderful friend Megan, who went with me and spent the day helping out.

My parents brought my kids over later in the day too, so they could all see the set-up.  And they hung around and hauled some stuff and my kids back home with them.   Thanks once again Mom and Dad, you are the best!

I have more to share but I am still tired from it all I guess – it’s 9:30 and I just want my bed!  I did get a start on the Christmas decor today so I will be sharing some of that soon.  And my blog needs some holiday change ups too.  I did get a start on loading some stuff into my etsy shop too – took advantage of the bright sunshine to snap some photos.  If you notice my etsy mini in my side bar you might see some new things showing up there!

I am planning to have an open house in a week or so.  I will keep you posted on that – especially watch facebook.  If you are in the area I’d love to see you stop by even if you don’t want to purchase anything!  Come hang out, eat some good food, sip something hot, and just have fun!

Jill- Wow~ You really did a lot of work for the show. It sounds like it was all woth it and that you were pleased with the outcome. How great to have friends and parents to help. Have a great night- xo Diana

Diana, I already had a lot of the stuff. Yes I made a bunch but it was mostly small stuff and pillows. And the ottoman covers don’t take too long! So yes, I did a lot but it really wasn’t stressful and pushed!

First, you and your real-life friends are TOO cute, looks like they’re having a great time! Your space was jam packed, it’s like a Where’s Waldo trying to see all you have in there ~ hope you had the BEST time! Go rest sweet friend!

Awww thanks Pam! We did have fun – it was just so fun to have some of my best friends come see me there! And I love a set up that has a ton of stuff. Plus I didn’t want to only make a few things and then have to come home and make a bunch more! This way I have stuff for etsy and an open house too. Sewing will be restricted to custom orders for awhile!

That laundry cart is great! I wish I’d gotten to shop the market a little more. Sounds like you had as much fun as I did!

So glad you took that pic of Megan & you behind the cash/wrap table – it is SO much bigger than that first picture makes it seem. Can’t wait for your open house – I hope it’s not the weekend we’re going to be out of town! Your booth looks fantastic – wish I could have made it up to see it in person.

Looks great! How fun! I love the photos of your friends and of you and Megan. Good friends rock!

The laundry cart is awesome. It definitely looks like it belongs in your house, but alas, we can’t always keep everything. If nothing else, space does not allow it. :)

I like all the ruffled leggings sticking out of the dresser drawers. And I would’ve loved to riffle through the camera straps. Fun, fun, fun!

Oh I’m getting one of these laundry carts! Travis is even excited about it!! We are moving the freezer to the basement now that it has a concrete floor and is cleaned out. And my laundry cart will fit right in! I even have it paid for just need to go pick it up and make the liner!

How wonderful! Your items look so beautiful even in your dining room stacked up. I am glad it was a success. You looked as beautiful as all your creations. I can’t believe that cart didn’t sell…someone is going to be glad it didn’t when they get to snatch it up. Wish I lived closer for your open house.

Thanks Amy! The great thing about that cart – besides the obvious of course – is that there are more where it came from!!! Blog post coming at some point but it might not happen before the new year. I feel like I’m barely treading water trying to keep up with everything around here!

Bravo! It sounds like you really pulled it off and now you just keep on going. Getting home to crawl into bed is a wonderful thing after so much work. Hope you have a chance to regroup and recoup before you carry on!

Thank you Liz :) I’m sleeping hard when I take the time to sleep! Decking the halls here for Christmas and hoping to find time to have an open house for my friends that live close enough to come shop. And get some custom orders made. and still try to school my kids. We might have to take a break till after Christmas ;)

YAY JILL!!!!!!! Congratulations on a fabulous craft market!! I SO wish I were closer… I have nowhere for it but I don’t think I would have been able to resist that laundry bin! I’m seriously crushing on it :-) There are so many delightful treasures in the photos it’s no surprise to me that you had a good market!! YAY!!! I hope you get lots of rest now – you deserve it!! Hugs!! ~ Jennifer

Thanks Jennifer! I wish we lived closer too – I’d love to meet you in real life. The laundry cart IS great! Using it like we did sort of made it not so noticeable that it was for sale I think. And it isn’t cheap – making the new liner took a lot of time and effort and the cart is authentic.

Thanks Kendra! And not everyone bought something – if they had I would have sold out completely – there were that many people through there! It was a good day though and I was very happy to bring stuff home that could be put on etsy and so I can have an open house here for my friends and anyone who wants to come take a peek at what I make!

Jill, I guess there was a good reason why I had yet to mail your wee package out to you. Now I can combine that package with the 5th Annual DTA Black Friday giveaway winnings with it.

    Congratulations.

My address book is currently buried under a mound of wrapping paper so send me your address AGAIN as I want this in the mail on Monday. :)

Everything looks wonderful. I know how exciting, tiring, and stressful it can be so set up your booth. Great job and I hope you do really well. Get some rest. Don’t over do. Thanks so much for linking up at Transformed Tuesday. Hugs, Peggy
