7 Years

My ‘Baby’ turns 7 today.  SEVEN!  I think that means she isn’t a baby anymore.  When did this happen?  I went from an exhausted, sleep-deprived Mom of toddlers and a baby, to an exhausted Mom of Teenagers and Pre-teens overnight.  Time does not stand still.

Seven years ago this warm, cuddly bundle was born.  She hung out with Dad for a few hours while Momma was in recovery.  This one was delivered c-section.

Middle Sister Larke, who was really still a baby herself at 27 months, was quite thrilled with baby Becca.

Big Sister Emma, who at 4 1/2 years old had carted Larke all over the place, was very much at ease with another baby.

Baby Becca had perfect little fingers…

…and toes.

And tiny legs!

Today, Becca is 7.  She is a beautiful, happy, silly, funny, first grader.  She is learning to read rather well.  She is a great friend to her sisters – most of the time.  She has a giggle that will make YOU giggle :)  She is a wonderful help in the kitchen and likes to clean windows – some of the time.  She loves legos, goes through stacks of paper and markers every month, draws some great pictures, sings, is a very picky eater, loves Jesus, her family, and her kittens.

Becca may you continue to grow into the woman God created you to be!  Happy 7th Birthday!

Oh, those baby pictures! I want to squeeze her again. She was such a cutie and is so pretty! Love her hair! Tell her happy birthday and she’ll soon have hair as long as Julie’s! :)

We would love to be there to celebrate with her!

Happy birthday, Becca! I remember her when I first met you at swimming lessons years ago. Blayton and she played together & she was so adorable…now she is so pretty & growing up! I can’t believe how long her hair is getting! Pictures of her always make me smile :)

:) That’s been a long time ago! I am loving her hair too Jenni – it’s been growing for 2 years now. She has been growing it out for Locks of Love. It’s gonna be kind of sad when it gets cut – but much easier to wash and comb!

Another one of those “turn back the clock” times! She has been so fun to have in the family. Time does not stand still, for sure, and we really wouldn’t want it to. Thanking God for Becca, my namesake, day-brightener, lovely little lady, and the baby of our family. Always put your trust in Jesus, dear Becca.

Jill- What an adorable little girl. She is just beautiful. Isn’t it amazing how fast they grow….from baby to pre-schooler to first grade in a few moments of time. God bless her and all of you- She is perfect! Happy 7th Birthday, Becca! xo Diana

Thank you Ann – I can’t believe how the years have already flown by! Since it only seems to go faster they will all be grown and on their own the next time I turn around. Sigh.

What a beautiful little girl. I love sharing pics of my children on their birthdays as well (even though they are in their 20’s) I love the little picture of Becca yawning…I have one just like that of my daughter Jill when she was a baby. So precious! Hope Becca had a very special birthday today! Blessings ~ Judy

She had a very fun day Karen! You did need lots of help with TWO babies after a c-section! My hubby was home from the time Becca was born till after Thanksgiving and that was a wonderful help!
