Featured

If you are a blogger you probably know that being featured by other bloggers is fun.  And exciting.  It makes your day.  It makes you feel good.  All warm and fuzzy inside.  It can make you holler so loud your kids think you have lost your mind!

If you are a blogger you also know that there are tons and tons of other great blogs out there.  Some are big, some are small, some old, some new, some niche blogs, some mommy blogs.  The DIY blogs.  The crafty blogs.  And the list could go on and on and on.  It is very easy to feel like a little tiny fish in such a huge overwhelming cyber ocean.  It is easy to become envious of the ‘big bloggers’.

If you are a blogger you know too, that blogging is a LOT a LOT of work.  It takes time to take photos.  Get photos off your camera.  Look at all the pictures.  Sort them.  Delete the not great pics.  Edit the rest.  Upload them to your blog.  And then write some great content to go with those photos.  Stuff that will bring people back over and over to see what you are up to next.

If you are a blogger you know that comments are like gold.  The more comments you get the better you feel and the more you feel like putting into the next post.  To those of you I follow but have been lax on commenting – forgive me.  I am trying to do better.  To those of you who read my blog – I WOULD LOVE A COMMENT!  Just a quick two or three words so I know you were here and took the time to read.  It makes my day – truly!!!

So.  I have been featured lately on a couple blogs!  All that linking up does pay off :)

Here are the blogs that featured me:

At the Picket Fence.  I was featured on Inspiration Friday No. 68!

Stuff and Nonsense
Stuff and Nonsense.  I was featured on Friday’s Unfolded #69!

Redoux.  I was featured on What have you Redone? Friday number 60!

freckled laundry

Freckled Laundry.  I’ve been featured here at least twice!

I’ve also been mentioned on a couple blogs lately and it just made my day each time.  I also love it when someone follows me.  You can follow by email or with Linky, or with bloglovin’.  You will find both options in the right sidebar of my blog.  RSS feed is also available and is located in the row of buttons at the top right of the blog.  Could you please help me get my follower number back up?  I lost my Google Friends Connect followers when I switched to wordpress.  Google doesn’t make that option available to wordpress blogs anymore.  It’s a small price to pay though for all the much better stuff about wordpress.  So if you feel to click on Linky and follow me.  I would also love it if you would visit Sew a Fine Seam’s facebook page and like me there too.

And now, my kids are yelling for me to come swim with them.  Since it is 93+ degrees outside I think I will oblige them!

By the way, I started using bloglovin for subscribing and I like it way better than Linky, it puts all your feed in one place like the google reader does :)
