Right before we headed south to the the convention last weekend I decided I really wanted a strap cover for for my camera. So I made one. I have ribbon that just came in the mail today that I want to use to detail another one but for now this one works. It’s made out of one of my favorite fabrics, a Belgian linen – white with grey stripes. Jami from Freckled Laundry used it for a chair cover and I loved it so much I asked her where she got it. She sent me to the source! At the time I had to contact the lady directly, she didn’t have a shop I could buy it from. I will have to do some digging or ask Jami for the info again if anyone wants it.
I used a tutorial by Lindsay at The Cottage Home. I had to shorten mine to get it to only cover the main wide part of my strap.
I recommend Lindsay’s tutorial for this. She has great photos to walk you through it and you can detail it any way you want. I like the way she added a ribbon to hers. I didn’t because I wanted to see the grey in this fabric. And altering the length to fit my strap was no biggie
I linked this post to Freckled Laundry!

ok this is starting to get weird
-You posted about the little boy tie’s while I was making some {but I was already planning on posting about them} & now you are posting about camera strap covers & for the last week I have been checking into buying or making one {& doing a post on them!} Seriously how odd is that!?!? -
Our creative minds must “think” alike!:)
I just love how your camera strap turned out…the white a grey are beautiful.
That is one of my favorite fabrics and I LOVE it as a camera strap! The seller is Love From Hollywood. Her button is in my sidebar. She has an Etsy and an Ebay shop. The button links to her Etsy but I believe she still sells this fabric in her ebay shop. Have I thoroughly confused you? Ha!
