I started this dress before Easter, intending to wear it to church on Easter Sunday. But life got in the way and I let it go. It’s not like I had nothing else to wear. The girls all had new dresses so all was well!
I finally finished the dress and plan to wear it this weekend on a date with my hubby.
I will most likely add a belt. Didn’t think about it for the photos though.
I love how these flat ruffles look good even when they are ‘mussed’.
And isn’t this necklace swoony? I have a friend who makes these lovelies. Want one? I’ll be doing a post on her stuff soon. I have a bunch of new stuff that she made.
This is the other necklace I bought from her. I will probably wear it with something that shows it off a little better but I wanted to snap a quick pic of it. The dress fabric was called ‘weathered walnut’ but it really looks more grey. The fabric place also had one that was called grey – might have to get that one too next time I order.
So what do you think? Like it? Don’t like it? Want to know what ‘pattern’ I used to make it?

I like it a lot! Love those necklaces – especially the one with 3 flowers, it kind of gets lost on this dress but I like it a lot. Sigh. I just like you a lot.
) I wanna see this on as well.

You are AMAZING!! I read the tutorial first, and no I will not be making one, I can sew pillows and drapes (simple straight lines) my sewing talent ends there! It’s truly beautiful!

I like! I think I would like it higher waisted, with a belt. Email me your price, including you ordering the fabric!
